Wedding Ceremonies

The last time I blogged, I talked a lot about the fantastic weddings I've been a part of this season and I promised to talk about Blissfest Radio. http://blissfestradio.org

My DJ career started in broadcast radio... when broadcast radio was cool! I'd listen to the AM stations out of Chicago, St. Louis and New York late at night as a young man. The music and personalities that came out of my little transistor radio were like magic! So I found jobs at our local radio stations running taped programs and reading the weather report on the air. Radio changed a lot over the years and became more and more formulaic and predictable. The creativity and much of the fun was gone. So after around 17 years in the business, I decided to concentrate on my mobile DJ service and I left radio behind.

Well- that is until one of my old Program Directors called this Spring and asked if I'd like to be a part of Blissfest Radio. Our family has been supporters of the Blissfest Organization for a number of years and we truly believe in their goals and mission. http://blissfest.org  Blissfest Radio is an outlet from the greater Organization to reach around the globe on a streaming on-line music channel and spread our love of Roots music, Art and Cultural Heritage. I am proud to be a Host on the channel. It's been a little weird getting back into the 'art' of being a personality on the radio, but I've been enjoying the freedom and creativity. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

The 4th of July week here in the North half of the Mitten State was absolutely terrific! Our company www.plu-ent.com had 3 fantastic Weddings to do through-out the week, but still found time to take a refreshing rest in Little Traverse Bay.

On July 1 we served a really special couple at the Inn at Bay Harbor. They had the most beautiful day for a Wedding. They were originally from the Philippines and had family come in from all over the world for their celebration. A Video crew out of Grand Rapids (Coastline Productions) had some super cool cameras shooting the entire evening.

On Friday the 5th, Lindsay and I served another couple with Ceremony Service on Crooked Lake in Ponshewang. Then went to the Little Traverse Bay Golf Club for a super fun reception. The Maid of Honor and Best Man switched clothes in the Party Bus and entered the Reception in each others clothes. It was hysterical... they gave their Toasts 'cross-dressed' and the Guests loved every minute!

Saturday the 6th, Sam and I were on the Veranda at Stafford's Perry Hotel again. The Wedding Ceremonies we've done there this year have sounded outstanding. As usual, the family and guests had the time of their lives Celebrating!

The whole family is heading to BlissFest this weekend for a musical vacation. Cheers until next time!
